The Iran Neuroscience Institute, also known as the Prof. Samii International Neuroscience Center, is a highly specialized medical facility dedicated to advanced neurological and neurosurgical care. The hospital was developed through collaboration between leading Iranian healthcare engineering experts, including Manzomeh Salamat Iranian, together with international designers to ensure integration of international hospital design standards. The facility features a fully modern structural concept and advanced clinical planning tailored specifically to neurosciences.

Architecturally inspired by the form of the human brain, the main building centralizes the majority of diagnostic and therapeutic services within its iconic structure. The structural system combines reinforced concrete and steel, incorporating a central concrete core designed to enhance seismic performance and structural stability. Lightweight partition materials were utilized to reduce structural load, while aluminum façade framing and high-performance insulated glazing systems were implemented to optimize energy efficiency.

Located in District 22 of Tehran, the complex consists of a 10-story central building shaped symbolically as a brain, complemented by three additional surrounding floors. The concept for the hospital was initiated in 2009 by Madjid Samii. The facility includes:
– 14 advanced operating rooms – 56 neurological ICU beds – 255 general inpatient beds – 20 neonatal and pediatric beds

The Prof. Samii Neuroscience Hospital is considered one of the largest dedicated neuroscience hospitals in the world, reflecting its scale, infrastructure, and clinical capacity.

LARMA – TARH ARAYEH acted as the principal consultant for medical equipment planning, procurement strategy, and acquisition. In addition, the company served as High-Level Site Supervisor, overseeing contractor performance, reviewing and certifying progress payments, and managing procurement of specialized construction materials required for hospital-grade construction standards. LARMA – TARH ARAYEH successfully delivered comprehensive supervision, engineering procurement management, and specialized medical equipment consultancy services for this national-scale oncology project.
